symbolp (PREDICATE)

Format: (symbolp <exp> )

Required arguments: 1

<exp> : any lisp expression

Returns T if the argument evaluates to a symbol, nil otherwise.

Examples:

> (symbolp 'this)
T

> (symbolp "this")
NIL

> (symbolp 3)
NIL

> (symbolp '3)
NIL

> (symbolp '(this is a list))
NIL

> (symbolp 'pi)
T

> (symbolp pi)
NIL
